    Oil change interval on a vehicle that isn't used much would largely depend on how/where it's kept and how it's used.  As you said, short trips are hard on the vehicle.   If it's kept inside where it's dry and there aren't big temp swings to drive condensation, full synthetic should last quite a while.  ...
