Currently I am a civil engineer working for the State of Hawaii Department of Transportation. I work on the Communicating Autonomous Vehicle committee to help prepare draft regulations governing autonomous vehicles.
Previously, I conducted research in nanoscale heat transport utilizing the University of Florida supercomputer. I simulated phonon propagation using Molecular Dynamics software. I also conducted research in the area of Soft Matter Contact Mechanics where I helped create a novel micro-indentation method to characterize the elastic modulus of soft materials like contact lenses.
