The Nominating Committee (NC) is responsible for identifying and nominating a diverse slate of suitably qualified candidates for election to the board of directors (“Board”) by the SAE membership, in accordance with the Bylaws and any guidelines, procedures and/or processes established by the Board.
The purpose of the Nominating Committee is to maintain a current pool of qualified candidates and select nominees for President, Sector Vice President, Treasurer, and Directors-at-Large as directed by the Board.
Ideal candidates must be SAE Members who can identify qualified candidates for election to the board of directors.
This is a 3 year term. The committee typically meeting 5-6 times per year for 90-minute virtual sessions and potentially 2 in-person (domestic) meetings. Between meetings, touch-base calls or email exchanges with candidates are required as needed.
