A day to thank all our volunteers and contributors for their dedication to SAE International .

We understand the importance of recognizing our volunteers for their dedication to the success of our organization. Their time, knowledge and passion for the betterment of the mobility community allows SAE to develop world class content, publish leading technical standards in both the Aero and Ground Vehicle communities, inspire the minds of future engineers and serve the needs of our students and members worldwide.

As a thank you for all you do, SAE will be highlighting some of our amazing volunteers and contributors. We will also be giving out prizes throughout the month leading up to the third annual SAE Recognition Day on Monday, June 29th, 2020. It's SAE International's way of saying "Thank you"!

How to Participate

To be eligible to participate, individuals must have completed one of the following:
Updated Your Volunteer Profile
Opted into the Volunteer Pool
Signed up for a Volunteer Opportunity through SAE Propel
Completed a Volunteer Activity in the last 12 months

June 29 is SAE Recognition day so all of June we want to say Thank YOU to all our very special volunteers and contributors with some fun activities:

* Competition in the Member Connection starting June 26 asking members and volunteers the following question:

Why are you proud to be a volunteer with SAE? Tell us, either as a student or professional, what volunteer experiences have brought you the most satisfaction either personally or professionally, and what drives you to continue to volunteer?

The best answer wins a pair of Oakley men's and woman's sunglasses!

* Special thank you messages from Staff will be sent. Keep an eye out on social media and this site for Staff's special thank you to our volunteers for their continued dedication to SAE.

*SAE will randomly send over 100 gift cards to our Volunteers and Contributors on June 29 in celebration of SAE Recognition Day - keep your eye on your inbox. We will email you if you are a winner to confirm your mailing address!

*We have several grand prizes to give away on June 29, including an Apple Watch, Amazon prize pack, a golf set, and a Grill prize pack, among other things. Grand Prize winners will be announced on this page.

Volunteer Spotlight

Cora J. Taylor, Mechanical Engineering Practice IV Teaching Assistant, Michigan Technological University

Hometown: Houghton, Michigan

Biography: Ms. Taylor is a student and teaching assistant at the Michigan Technological University, where she earned both a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and is pursuing her Master’s degree in the same field. As a funded graduate student, her area of focus is in noise, vibrations, and harshness, and she is particularly interested in researching dynamic environments testing as well as multi-input/multi-output testing. As an undergraduate, Ms. Taylor was an active member of her University’s Formula SAE Team, serving on the business, composites, and chassis sub-teams before becoming Team President in her final year. She was 2019’s Rumbaugh Outstanding Student Leader Award winner for her contributions to SAE as a student.
